On October 9, 2005, at 1404 eastern daylight time, a Beech model 19A, N5083T, piloted by a student pilot, sustained substantial damage during landing on runway 32 (3,501 feet by 100 feet, asphalt), at the Jackson County Airport-Reynolds Field, Jackson, Michigan. According to statements from two air traffic controllers, the airplane porpoised on runway 32 during landing. The controllers reported that the airplane then went off of the runway, striking a runway sign, and came to rest in the grass between runway 32 and taxiway D.
