On November 10, 2006, at 0918 eastern standard time, a Diamond DA 20-C1, N190WA, registered to WA Air LLC, and operated by Dillon's Aviation Incorporated as a 14 CFR Part 91 personal flight, collided with the ground during an go-around at Raleigh-Durham International Airport, Raleigh, North Carolina. The airplane received substantial damage. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed and no flight plan was filed. The private pilot reported no injuries. The pilot stated that he attempted a go-around after "he realized he did not have enough runway to land". The pilot stated that he lost control of the airplane and crashed on the runway. Examination of the airplane by a FAA inspector revealed the engine was crushed against the firewall.
