On April 5, 2013, about 1951 Pacific daylight time, a U.S Airways Airbus 321-231, N560UW, operating as flight AWE1733, aTitle 14 CFR Part 121 domestic passenger flight from Charlotte, North Carolina to Las Vegas, Nevada, had a tailstrike during landing at Las Vegas Airport. None of the six flight crewmembers or 186 passengers received any injuries. The airplane incurred substantial damage and visual metorological conditions prevailed at the time.
