On September 5, 2004, about 1515 eastern daylight time, a Piper PA32-300, N1351H, was substantially damaged while landing at the Montauk Airport (MTP), Montauk, New York. The certificated private pilot and four passengers were not injured. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed and no flight plan was filed for the flight that departed Danbury, Connecticut. The personal flight was conducted under 14 CFR Part 91.
