On May 30, 2018, about 1618 central daylight time, an Ayres Corporation S2R-T34, N2249B, impacted terrain near El Reno, Oklahoma, during an aerial application operation after flying into guy wires of a radio antenna. The airplane was destroyed by post-impact fire. The commercial-rated pilot, and sole occupant onboard, was fatally injured.
