NTSB Factual Report

On December 6, 2006, at approximately 0930 Pacific standard time, a Cessna P210N, N6006P, was substantially damaged during a landing gear retracted landing at Burns Municipal Airport (KBNO), Burns, Oregon. The commercial pilot and his passenger were not injured. Timbuck-2 Flying Club Inc. was operating the aircraft under Title 14 CFR Part 91. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed for the cross-country flight which originated from Redding, California, at approximately 0800. No flight plan had been filed.

The pilot said that he changed his landing runway to 30 because the other runway had "no braking action on it." He forgot to put the landing gear down for the landing. The airplane's pressure bulkhead was compromised, which required a major repair.

NTSB Probable Cause

The pilot's failure to put the landing gear down for landing.
