On September 30, 2001, approximately 1050 Pacific daylight time, a Cessna 172RG airplane, N6515R, registered to a private owner in Tigard, Oregon, and being operated by Eagle Flight Center Inc. of Hillsboro, Oregon, was substantially damaged in a landing with the landing gear retracted at Chehalem Airpark, Newberg, Oregon. The commercial pilot, who was the airplane's sole occupant, was not injured in the accident. Visual meteorological conditions existed and no flight plan had been filed for the 14 CFR 91 flight from Stark's Twin Oaks Airport in Hillsboro.
On his NTSB accident report, the pilot reported that he landed gear-up on runway 25, and indicated that no mechanical malfunction or failure was involved in the accident.
