On September 15, 2002, at 1900 central daylight time, a Cessna 172P, N54091, operated as a rental airplane, was substantially damaged during a landing overrun on runway 08R (2,272 feet by 33 feet, asphalt) at Sylvania Airport, Sturtevant, Wisconsin. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time of the accident. The 14 CFR Part 91 personal flight was not operating on a flight plan. The private rated pilot was uninjured.
